Paul AH -1,5 games (1.73)

Shapovalov D. vs Paul T.

1.58

Arguments: It will be a final where both players deserve to win. But we have to choose the favorite.
It is worth noting that Shapovalov beat slightly stronger players here in Dallas on his way to the final. On the other hand, Paul was better at the Australian Open in 2025, reaching the quarterfinals.
That’s why we need an analysis of previous years. And in previous years we will see that the American was more stable in results, climbing the rankings from year to year. This also means that in recent years Tommy Paul has had a more successful career with more titles won. Moreover, this is a title defense match, Tommy was the champion here in Dallas in 2024.
I also think the American will have more fans in the stadium. (which is another factor in Tommy’s favor)
Conclusion: It will be a clash between creativity from Shapovalov and speed and precision from Paul, where reaction and speed can be decisive. Considering the above, it seems that the American will have a slight edge and I’m betting on Tommy with an Asian Handicap of ‘-1,5 games’. However, let’s see if the “data on paper” will correspond to reality.

When are tennis predictions published today, at what time?

I usually have predictions 2-3 days in advance, so on this website, there will always be predictions to choose from. By the way, if you are interested – my time zone is UTC+3. So I am usually active during the day in my time zone.

Human revised predictions (my case) VS mathematical predictions (other websites)

Here I will explain why ‘mathematical prediction sites’ can lead you down the wrong path. Often the ‘mathematical prediction sites’ will have almost the same winning odds as the bookies. In addition, their formula is just a formula, which sees numbers and does not take into account all the details.

Possible missing details in formulas:

  • The player is recently injured or not
  • Motivation for the tournament and place, seen directly from interviews
  • Does the player play in his home country in front of his home crowd or not
  • Is he playing an ATP 250 level tournament or a Grand Slam tournament or a Davis Cup tournament
  • New team members, changes in the players’ box, etc.

So, having said the above, I think it has become clear what my advantages are as a bettor and predictor. By the way, to see my free, stable content in the coming months and years, don’t forget to support me.

Why are the odds different from the odds on the bookmaker’s website?

I predict matches 2-3 days in advance. And the odds are published fresh in the backend on the day I analyze. But in these 2-3 days, people all over the world place bets. Based on these bets, bookmakers adjust their odds. That’s how it works, the odds are constantly changing. And the closer the event is, the more changes you’ll see in the odds.
