Betting Master aka Andrei Pascari – About me
Hi there! I’m the Betting Master, aka Andrei Pascari from Moldova (eastern European country).
My main activities in the past and now are web development and sports blogging. To be more specific, I have been in web development for about 10 years (most of the time I worked as a freelancer). And I have been a sports fan for about 15 years. I enjoy watching and analyzing soccer and tennis. And I even play soccer and tennis as an amateur. About my skills in these sports: I can juggle the soccer ball about 60-80 times 🙂 in addition, I bought 2 tennis rackets from SportsDirect.com and play with a friend on the weekends.
The transition from full-time freelancing to totally engaged in sports blogging
Ever since my university days, I have enjoyed watching, analyzing and betting on my favorite teams. But in recent years, due to full-time freelance work, I haven’t had enough time to pursue my hobbies as I would like. So a few months ago, I decided to combine web development and my love for soccer and tennis by creating this project. Now I have plenty of time to analyze soccer and tennis matches.
In the present I regularly watch Champions League and Europa League matches. Of course, I don’t miss important matches of the Grand Slam tournaments Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open. And I don’t miss other tournaments that interest me.
Plus, I don’t skip any important news related to sports. I’m aware of all transfers, important absences & injuries. I personally offer and constantly search for information related to sports.
10 takeaways and tips based on years of experience in the betting industry as a Betting Master
From years of betting, I can offer you these suggestions:
- Don’t bet money you don’t have. Only the extra money you can spend is suitable for such activities;
- You can’t win at bookies unless you are fully committed to the sport you love;
- You should have your own opinion about the winning bet, your intuition should be above the crowd and the bookmakers’ favourites;
- Remember that even big favourites can lose, and low odds (eg 1.05 and 1.10) often don’t pay off;
- Analytical skills are your strong point if you are a bettor. Note: Analytics is a skill that can be trained over time;
- Don’t get overwhelmed by all the sports, choose one or two sports in which you can become an analytical expert;
- Find a balance between betting, watching and analyzing. The joy of watching the game should come first, and then the earning of money;
- Take regular breaks from betting, even if you are on a winning streak;
- Register and bet only with bookmakers approved and regulated by your government;
- Trust the information you get from sources that have a person or team behind them, as in my case. You must know the authors of the information you receive. In our modern digital world, online reputation is very important.
